SO, YOU GOT A PUPPY! NOW WHAT?
Where Are You At?
Completely Defeated
Would it help if I told you that I have been there, so many times?
Having a new pet is life changing, for everybody.
Honestly, a good night's sleep is, generally, all it takes to get your mood to Aggravated or Inconvenienced.
Remember a few things:
~It takes time to build a relationship. Be patient. You are just getting to know each other. You're BOTH going to make mistakes.
~Throughout your adventure together, you will go through many ups and downs. I can assure you, the downs will be fewer. Learn from them. Know they will pass. And honor your commitment to your new pet.
~A new friend will not come home knowing what you want them to know. Give them time to learn. Teach them. And be patient because some lessons are harder for them to get right away.

Aggravated
Getting a new fur friend means you will need to be flexible in order to design a routine that works best for everybody. Unfortunately, not every transition is smooth. This is where the Aggravated comes in.
Here's the thing: any animal will communicate with you through body language. They are reading yours, too. If you're feeling frustrated or anxious, chances are your new pup is too.
The trick is deciding what is causing your aggravation. Then you can design your routine to eliminate the stressor. For example, if your new pup is chewing and destroying things, you will know that your dog is board and or anxious. In which case, you can increase their exercise and provide safe and healthy things for them to chew.
For immediate results, take a chill pill. The only way to get un-Aggrevated is to change your mind, at that moment.
Getting a new pet is like starting any new relationship. It takes time, patience, understanding and compromise to make it work.
Please remember the most important thing. The day you adopted your pet is the day that you made a commitment to him/her. Do not give up on them.
There is so much information, training, and enrichment out there, to assist in getting over any hurdle you may encounter.

Inconvenienced
Yup! You just threw a wrench into the spokes, of your smooth ride in life.
Now you've got one more responsibility. And in the beginning, it's time consuming. It will all settle down, when everybody relaxes and falls into the groove.
Plan for the extra time, from the start. Unfortunately, this includes work days and rainy days, to consistently instill what you expect from your new pupper.
Be calm! Your pup will pick up on your energy. The more chill you are, the more relaxed your dog will be.
If you have tiny humans, have structured playtime, after both have drained their energy a bit, so as to not set either up for failure.
Your new friend needs structure, routine, exercise, and love.
If you are merely, inconvenienced, we definitely can help.
But you will have to put in the effort, in order to not feel inconvenienced.
Please remember that you made a commitment. Now let's make it fun and not stressful.
